Mmmmm pierogies. For those of you who have been living under a metaphorical rock in the food world, a pierogi is a dumpling of sorts made from unleavened dough wrapped around a potato mixture. It is then boiled and subsequently pan fried with butter and onions. It’s a dish that is common in Central to Eastern Europe and has made its way into my favourite snack food repertoire.

In a nutshell, The Food Dudes are serving awesome food out of a truck. And from the looks of their site, they’re going to be opening a restaurant as well, check it out here. The pierogies actually aren’t part of their main menu, but it was an item that was brought back for The Food Festival by popular demand (I think the pierogies should have a permanent home there in my opinion). The filling was absolutely creamy and rich with the right amount of cheese.

If I ever see these nuggets of joy, I’m definitely making an order for these.

Until we dine again,
