A fast and easy recipe using Greenfield Natural Meat Company bacon. Great addition for any weekly dinner menu at home!
  • 1½ cup uncooked rice, washed
  • ½ medium onion, diced
  • 4 stalks of green onion, slices into small pieces
  • 8 slices of Greenfield Natural Meat Company Bacon, sliced into 1 inch pieces
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 3 tbsp of light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (or you can use the bacon fat after cooking the bacon)
  1. Wash and cook the rice as per the instructions on your rice cooker, best to leave it overnight for the rice to dry out
  2. Throw the pieces of bacon into a pan on medium high heat and cook the pieces until it is crisp
  3. Take out the bacon pieces and put them on a piece of paper towel to soak up any excess fat
  4. On high heat, put your onions in and toss for 20-30 seconds to start the sweating process
  5. Toss in your rice and stir until heated through. This usually takes 2-3 minutes.
  6. Pour in your soy sauce and continue to toss for 30 seconds
  7. Pour your beaten egg over the rice and toss until the egg has coated the rice and is fully cooked through
  8. Toss in your crisp bacon bits and mix it until it is well distributed
  9. Turn off the heat and throw in your green onions
  10. Plate and serve
