One of the major setbacks of getting snowed in is that many of your dining options are cut out as they won’t be open.

There were a couple of places in North End of Boston that were open and we went to Lo Conte’s, a traditional Italian restaurant serving classics like chicken parmigiana. Take a look at their menu here.

I decided to try their veal and eggplant parmigiana there and it wasn’t half bad. Their veal was thin and tender but their eggplant could have been crisper. The sauce and the cheese really did make the dish for me but I say it all was good. They also have large portions of which you’d probably have to come here hungry.

Not excellent or spectacular, but okay.
